What is Road Show ?
The “roadshow,” also known as the “dog and pony show,” is a tour undertaken by a company that is preparing for an IPO. The purpose of the roadshow is to generate interest in the company’s securities among potential buyers, including institutional investors, analysts, and money managers. Attendance is by invitation only, and members of the media are not allowed to attend. During the roadshow, company representatives present the business and financial prospects to potential investors in various cities to garner support and attract investment in the upcoming IPO.
