What is American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) ?
An ADR (American Depositary Receipt) is a financial instrument representing shares of a non-U.S. company that wants to be listed and traded on a U.S. stock exchange. Each ADR corresponds to a specific number of the company’s regular shares. ADRs allow U.S. investors to easily invest in foreign companies without directly dealing with foreign exchanges.
