What is Cooling Off Period ?
The “cooling off period” in an IPO is a period of about 20 days between the company’s filing of the registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the official offering of the securities to the public. During this time, the company and underwriters provide information to potential investors, allowing them to review the details and make informed decisions about investing in the IPO once it is officially available.
